I’m so excited to launch a new pattern, the Fallon Top!

Whether you’re just learning to sew, have the basics down, or are an experienced sewist it is the aim of Fallon to give you that foundation piece in your handmade wardrobe that you can polish and perfect  all skill levels are able to create Fallon and she warmly embraces the beginning sewist as well as the more accomplished. C’mon, don’t be afraid– we’ve got this! Fallon is not your everyday top! Not your everyday tee!  She has a clever shape with a front seam forward sass which allows for her great shape and swing to flatter YOU, without dwarfing you in the process! As you explore this pattern you’ll happily discover that you’ve gained confidence in your sewing and in yourself. You will make this top as a dressy top in a ponte or printed knit but know that Fallon looks fantastic sewn in a cotton knit, or a rayon spandex! Versatile and brilliant! I can’t wait to see yours! Fallon is for KNIT fabric only (although truth be told I’ve sized up and made her in chiffon!!!) This is gonna’ be FUN!   Save

What’s the big deal about the shape? About the Front Seam Forward? Having that front seam not sitting along your side seams but moving forward onto the front of the body, the garment moves into magic flatter mojo, really and truly!

Swingy, ‘high low’, super flattering on ANY body! The best part might be the fact that it’s easy to make!

Pattern Testers (who ROCKED) made Fallon in 2-3 hours from print to hem! Woot!

She’s also eminently changeable, versatile, easy to reflect your style! Even hemmed instead of high-low? Done! Scoop neck instead of a V, yes! Longer front? Absolutely! One tester even made Fallon with an even hemline and inserted a casing for a loose drapey pouf!

I can’t wait to see YOURS! Will you make it with long sleeves, 3/4 sleeves (my favorite), or short sleeves? Hi-Low, scoop neck or V? How will your Fallon say YOU??????

The pattern is a PDF delivered as a print at home or copy shop version, plus 25 pages of instructions to include hyperlinks which will only function when the instructions are open on a computer, tablet, or other device. Print at home versions are layered if you like, although the testers preferred to print all sizes for maximum flexibility.

I'm so excited for you to have The Leia Tank!

Leia’s Style? She’s LONGER (or can be) so that if you’re in yoga class you won’t peek that booty! She’s got a little shaping so she gives some coverage!! She is perfect for layering! The shoulders are just wide enough—- the neckline not too cleavage peekin’! Leia was born from the need to have a wardrobe of tanks that were easily changed up for whatever need you might have! Leia is awesome!
